Gabriel Roy - Co-Director
Gabriel is a senior at Yale University who plans to major in Ethnicity, Race, & Migration. He is interested in the intersection of race and sexuality, particularly in the context of dictatorial regimes and populist movements in postcolonial Latin America. Previously, Gabriel has held internships in his home state of Delaware with U.S. Senator Chris Coons and State Senator Bryan Townsend. Through a program at his high school, he had the opportunity to conduct ethnographic research in Los Angeles on sexual identity among Oaxaca’s muxe third-gender indigenous Zapotecs. At Yale, Gabriel writes for The Politic and tutors a Syrian refugee family in English in partnership with St. Thomas More.
Ellie Singer - Co-Director
Ellie is a Political Science major at Yale University, currently on leave between her junior and senior year. She has been a member of Engender for three years, and a director for two years. Outside of Engender, Ellie serves as the President of the Yale Debate Association and Vice President of Operations of the American Parliamentary Debate Association. She has worked as an intern in juvenile court and nonprofit development. Ellie is from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Miranda Coombe - Treasurer
Miranda is a senior at Yale from New York City double majoring in Humanities and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. She has been a member of Engender for two years, is also on the Undergraduate Title IX Advisory Council, and serves as Vice President of Asian-ish, a group for mixed race students on campus. Outside of school, Miranda spent a year working in Syrian refugee camps in Greece and is currently serving as the Volunteer Coordinator for a New York City Mayoral Campaign.

Anna McNeil
Anna graduated from Yale in 2020, where she majored in Art History. She worked as a student guide at the Yale Center for British Art, and in the summer of 2017, she worked as an intern in the Education Department at the Brooklyn Museum. In addition to co-founding and serving on the Executive Board of Engender, Anna was an Executive Board Member for Unite against Sexual Assault Yale (USAY), from January to September 2017. Anna is a devoted student of Classical Languages and Literatures, having studied Latin and Greek for 7 years before coming to Yale. She is also an active vocalist and was a member of the Yale Glee Club, the Yale Slavic Chorus, and Whim ‘n Rhythm. Anna is a proud native of Brooklyn, New York.
Natalie Schultz-Henry
Natalie graduated from Yale in 2019, where she majored in Computing and the Arts. She co-founded Engender in 2016 and advised the group while working as a graphic designer for Compass Real Estate in Brooklyn during the 2016-2017 academic year. She has completed coursework in graphic design at Parsons School of Design in New York City and has previously performed publication and merchandise design for The Yale Herald and the Whaling Crew among other student organizations. She is interested in pursuing a career at the intersection of design, technology, journalism and social justice. Natalie grew up in Connecticut and Los Angeles, California.
Ry Walker
Ry graduated from Yale in 2020, where she studied Astrophysics and African American Studies. On campus, she was a First Year Counselor (FroCo) for Saybrook College and a leader of Engender and Students Unite Now. Previously, she worked as a Peer Liaison for the Afro-American Cultural Center and as a Research Assistant at Yale Law School. Over her summers, Ry has worked for the National Women’s Law Center and Girls for Gender Equity. Ry is from Brooklyn, New York.
